Diana Castle

Diana Castle is an actress, singer, songwriter, theatre owner, producer, director, and teacher of
THE IMAGINED LIFE.

She has played on stages all over the world and has worked in the theatre in many capacities with such luminaries as Julie Harris, Julie Taymor, Elliott Goldenthal, Ed Harris, William Luce, Romulus Linney, Doug Jacobs, Sam Woodhouse, Olympia Dukakis, Charles Nelson Reilly, Lily Tomlin and many others.

Diana's most recent (2005-2006) stage work has been as a founding member of workshop 360 (Hecuba/title role and Betty's Summer Vacation/ Mrs. Seizmagraff). As a singer/songwriter, Diana's most recent performance was at The Cinegrill in Los Angeles.

Diana has received multiple DramaLogue Awards and critics choice accolades for her work. In 1995, Diana received The Maverick Award for "self styled creativity" and her "maverick" contributions to the creative community by The Los Angeles Women's Theatre festival. Diana holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Florida State University with a music minor. She has also studied with Los Angeles acting teacher Harry Mastrogeorge. Diana is a second year graduate of the apprentice program at The Burt Reynolds Institute for Theatre Training where, early in her life, she had the great opportunity to learn from many of the legendary talents from film, television and the theatre (Sally Field, Elizabeth Taylor, Charles Nelson Reilly, Roberta Peters, Tony Mordente, Jon Voight, Burt Reynolds, etc.) Diana has been privately coaching actors since 1989. She began teaching her acting classes in Los Angeles in 1991.

In 1995, Diana created a theatre in The Miracle Mile District called 2100 SQUARE FEET. 2100 SQUARE FEET is a creative space devoted to Creative Life and to the lives of those who study the art of acting with her.

In 2005, Diana began teaching in New York City and is currently coaching and teaching actors in NYC and LA. In Los Angeles, Diana holds 5 classes a week in her theatre space. She coaches privately five days a week. Diana calls her creative work with actors THE IMAGINED LIFE. Audio CD's of her classes will be available in 2007.
