Steve has performed leading roles on stage with Ed Harris in SCAR, and as David in the DramaLogue Award winning production of Strange Snow. Other stage credits include: Fool for Love, Equis, Crimes of the Heart, A Lesson from Aloes, Streamers, and has created leading roles in Refugees of Eden, Eleven Stories,/I-20, Screen Door Melody and Bottle Babies. Steve has appeared in films with Robert DeNiro, John Saxton, Nora Dunn and has worked on many other films and theatre projects. He began directing for the stage with the west coast premiere of Painted Cakes by Mitch Hale. 27 Wagons Full of Cotton by Tennessee Williams was his next venture and where he met the extraordinarily talented Diana Castle. In 1996 he and wife Diana Castle opened 2100 Square Feet and began Square Foot Productions. There, Steve directed a production of Split Second by Dennis McIntyre that garnered two DramaLogue Awards. In '97 he directed Ms. Castle in the premiere of Easter by Will Scheffer, for which he won the DramaLogue Award. As the producing team of 2100 Square Feet, Steve and Diana have hosted many multi-cultural/multi-media events.
